प्रकोपमा नेपाललाई सघाउने बाचा गर्दै सकियो अष्ट्रेलियामा विज्ञ सम्मेलन

क्यानबेरा

गैरआवासिय नेपालीहरुले प्रकोपका बेला नेपाललाई कसरी सघाउन सकिन्छ भनेर अष्ट्रेलियाको राजधानी क्यानवेरामा एक दिने सम्मेलन आयोजना गरेका छन् । सम्मेलनमा नेपालमा भाइरोलोजी ल्याब खोल्ने, भविष्यमा आउन सक्ने महामारी र प्रकोपका बेला नेपाल सरकारसंग सहकार्य गर्ने, प्रकोप व्यवस्थापन सम्बन्धी अष्ट्रेलियामा सिकेको ज्ञानलाई नेपालमा लगानी गर्ने तथा प्रकोप सम्बन्धी नियमित प्रकाशन गर्ने लगायत १४ बुदे घोषणापत्र जारी गरिएको छ ।

गैर आबासिय नेपाली सँघ एनआरएन अष्ट्रेलियाको प्रकोप ब्यबस्थापन सम्बन्धी कार्यदलले आयोजना गरेको सम्मेलनमा अष्ट्रेलियाको नेपाली समुदायका लागि प्रकोप सम्बन्धी सहयोग प्याकेजहरु भित्र्याउन पहल गर्ने तथा राज्य र संघस्तरिय प्रकोप समितिहरुमा नेपालीको पहुच बढाउन सक्रिय हुने घोषणा पनि गरिएको छ । कार्यक्रममा नेपाल साइन्स फाउण्डेशन र एनआरएन अष्ट्रेलियाको सयुंक्त पहलमा तयार ‘डाईसेक्टिङ दि प्याण्डेमिक कोभिड १९’  नामक पुस्तकको भर्चुअल लोकार्पण समेत गरिएको थियो । कोरोना भाइरस र यसले पारेको प्रभावका बारेको सो पुस्तक डाक्टर भरतराज पौडेल, डा राजु अधिकारी र डाक्टर रामकृष्ण निरौलाले संयुक्त रुपमा लेख्नुभएको हो । डाक्टर पौडेल एनआरएन अष्ट्रेलियाका प्रकोप ब्यबस्थापन कार्यदलका सँयोजक समेत हुनुहुन्छ ।

अष्ट्रेलियाका नेपालीहरू माझ पहिलो पटक आयोजित यो सम्मेलनको उद्घाटन अष्ट्रेलियाका लागी नेपाली राजदुत महेश राज दाहालले गर्नुभएको थियो ।  कार्यक्रममा राजदुत दाहालले पहिलो पटक यस्तो उच्च स्तरिय सम्मेलन आयोजना गरेर नेपाल र अष्ट्रेलियाको नेपाली समाजको ज्ञान र शिप अभिबृद्धिमा महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका खेलेको भन्दै आयोजकलाई धन्यबाद दिनुभयो ।

यो अबसरमा प्रकोप ब्यबस्थापन र कोभिड १९ को महामारीमा अष्ट्रेलिया स्थित बिज्ञ र पेशाकर्मीहरूले गरेका अनुसन्धान र पेशागत सलग्नता बारे प्रस्तुती दिईएको थियो। विज्ञहरुले प्रस्तुत गरेका कार्यपत्रहरु एनआरएनए अष्ट्रेलियाको वेवसाइटमा राखिने बताइएको छ । सम्मेलनमा भागलिन सिड्नी, मेलबर्न, ब्रिसबेन, तास्मानिया, दक्षिण अष्ट्रेलिया लगायत स्थानबाट झण्डै २ सय सहभागी राजधानी क्यानबेरा पुगेका थिए । घोषणापत्रको १४ बुँदा यस्ता छन् ।

Summary and Recommendations

1. The Disaster conference is the first conference and should be held as an annual event
2. The conference included eight different presentations to cover various aspects of COVID
   pandemic management and impacts in Nepal.
3. All presentation materials, conference booklet and book should be shared on NRNA webpage.
4. The conference recognised and highlighted the strength and role of NRNA, Community
5. Organizations, professional organisations like AMDA in COVID pandemic crisis mitigation both
6. physical and mental health crises.
7. Conference appreciated the role of media and recognized the role of media partnership in crises
8. Management to raise greater awareness and mitigation efforts campaigns.
9. Sign MOU between Nepal Embassy and Community organisations to work jointly in future crises management.
10. DECMT works closely with NRN Australia Pandemic Committee DECMT, NAST, NSFT, SK&TT to explore the feasibility to launch jointly Disaster Journal in the future.
11. NRNA and Disaster Taskforce to apply for Federal and State Government Grants and send representation to the Australia Government Disaster Committee.
12. The continuation and publication of the 2nd issue with larger contributions on the pandemic crises is recommended.
13. Work closely with Embassy to liaison with Nepali government efforts. Nepal Embassy, NAST and NRNA proposed Virology Lab proposal to be pursued
14. FeNCAA support role at policy levels with the Australian Government is necessary. NRNA SK&TT Department to play a proactive role in the transfer of knowledge and innovation in disaster areas.
